The Reverend Dr. Floyd H. Flake is the pastor of the Greater Allen A. M. E. Cathedral in Jamaica, New York. During his thirty-five year pastorate, Allen has become one of the nation’s foremost Christian churches and development corporations. With over twenty thousand members, the church and its subsidiary corporations operate with an annual budget of over $34 million dollars; and, own expansive commercial and residential developments, various social service enterprises, and the five-hundred-student Allen Christian School, founded in 1982, by Rev. Flake and his wife, the Reverend Elaine McCollins Flake.

Dr. Johnson is the William R. Kenan Jr. Distinguished Professor of strategy and entrepreneurship and director of the Urban Investment Strategies Center.

His research interests include community and economic development, the effects of demographic changes on the U.S. workplace, interethnic minority conflict in advanced industrial societies, urban poverty and public policy in urban America, and workforce diversity issues.
